Getting started

Coaching starts with a kick-off session. The purpose of the kick-off is to gather information for effective and personalized coaching. Information such as your sports background, short and long-term goals, current form and the challenges associated with it.

Kick-off will provide you with an understanding of how the coaching is structured and carried out, and what kind of effect it could have in your case.

You can pick the date and the location for the kick-off session by clicking the button below. The session can be a call, a video call, a face-to-face chat outdoors or perhaps a casual round of disc golf at Malminiitty disc golf course. Whichever works best for you.

Coaching

Once the kick-off session has been completed we can get started with the coaching. Coaching sessions are planned individually based on your progress and the number of remaining sessions.

Coaching sessions are all about introducing and learning exercises, cues and routines, which will help move your form towards your goals, in a gradual and lasting manner. The exercises don’t involve throwing discs, which means you can perform them just about anywhere. This allows you to achieve a very high number of repetitions, which helps us build a new set of preferred movement patterns.

Each coaching session is followed up with a written memo with instructions for the introduced exercises. This memo guides and motivates your practice between the sessions.

Getting used to the new movements and achieving a high level of automation and looseness takes time. Coaching sessions are typically at least two weeks apart to allow enough time for practice. You decide when you are ready to move to the next level. Coaching pushes you towards your goals slowly and steadily, one step at a time.
